Our city had an Art and Music Fair yesterday, and it couldn't have been on a better day. The sun was shining and the weather was unbeatable. Keith and I spent nearly the whole day outside (he has a slight burn on his nose to prove it.)
We walked up and down the fair, picking up street food for lunch. Then, we grabbed an iced coffee and went to lay around the nearby park. After we had our fill, we picked up some groceries and headed home. We immediately turned around to go back to the fair (we're only about 7 blocks from main street in town) to people watch and be outside. A bar/restaurant that we've wanted to try forever had an open table for two outside, so we grabbed it! Since we were pretty full from dinner, we split an appetizer pizza topped with a cheese spread, coppa ham, pesto, and jalapenos. YUM! It's definitely the best thing we've eaten in awhile, and we proceeded to talk about it for a good 20 minutes after we were done eating it. Needless to say, we'll definitely be heading back.
It was great to get out of our weekend rut of grocery shopping, doing laundry, and watching TV. Honestly, it was a perfect day (and it felt like we had just started dating again :)) Other long term couples, how do you break out of activity ruts?
